SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONAL GURU SMKN 1 MERDEKA

Suvervisi Kepala sekolah terhadap guru SMKN 1 Merdeka dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28-29 Maret 2022, dimana kepala sekolah mendatangi langsung ke kelas-kelas yang dimasuki oleh guru mata pelajaran.

Melalui kegiatan supervisi kepala sekolah dapat memberikan bimbingan, motivasi dan bantuan teknis kepada guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan profesional guru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan supervisi yang meliputi program, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang dihadapi kepala SMKN 1 Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan pengawas. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi, display, mengambil kesimpulan dan verifikasi data.

Pendekatan dan perilaku serta teknik yang diterapkan dalam memberi supervisi kepada guru-guru berdasarkan keadaan dan kemampuan guru. Menurut Sahertian (2008:46) ada beberapa pendekatan supervisi, yaitu: “1) pendekatan langsung, 2) pendekatan tidak langsung,
dan 3) pendekatan kolaboratif.”
Tugas pengawas satuan pendidikan ketika melaksanakan tugas pengawasannya haruslah memahami metode dan teknik supervisi pendidikan agar kegiatan supervisi dapat dilakukan dengan baik dan hasil pembinaanya mencapai tujuan pembinaan. Hal ini sesuai dengan pendapat Tim Dosen Administrasi UPI (2010:317) yang menyatakan bahwa beberapa teknik supervisi yang dapat digunakan supervisor pendidikan antara lain:
a. Kunjungan kelas secara berencana untuk dapat memperoleh gambaran tentang kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas.
b. Pertemuan pribadi antara supervisor dengan guru untuk membicarakan masalah-masalah khusus yang dihadapi guru.
c. Rapat antara supervisor dengan para guru di sekolah, biasanya untuk membicarakan masalah-masalah umum yang menyangkut perbaikan dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan
d. Kunjungan antar kelas atau antar sekolah merupakan suatu kegiatan yang terutama untuk saling menukarkan pengalaman sesama guru atau kepala sekolah tentang usaha-usaha perbaikan dalam proses belajar mengajar.
e. Pertemuan-pertemuan di kelompok kerja penilik, kerja kepala sekolah, serta pertemuan kelompok kerja guru, pusat kegiatan guru dan sebagainya. Pertemuan-pertemuan tersebut dapat dilakukan oleh masing-masing kelompok kerja, atau gabungan yang terutama dimaksudkan untuk menemukan masalah, mencari alternatif penyelesaian, serta menerapkan alternatif masalah yang tepat.

Penyusunan program supervisi dilakukan pada setiap awal tahun ajaran melalui kegiatan rapat dengan melibatkan ketua yayasan, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan seluruh personel sekolah yang terdiri dari program tahunan dan program semester. Program yang disusun adalah rapat manajemen sekolah untuk membentuk struktur organisasi supervisi akademik, membentuk tim dan meng SK tugaskan supervisor pelaksana supervisi akademik, supervisi administratsi pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, bimbingan konseling, evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi dan melakukan tindak lanjut hasil supervisi.
