Rapat bersama Orangtua/ Wali Siswa/i Kelas XI dengan 7 Program Keahlian. Rapat dilaksanakan dari pukul 09.00 – 12.00 WIB.
Keberhasilan suatu bangsa dalam mencapai tujuan nasional tidak hanya ditentukan oleh sumber daya alam yang melimpah ruah, namun ditentukan juga oleh sumber daya manusianya. Karakter yang kuat dari sumber daya manusianya, akan membentuk mental yang kuat. Karakter yang kuat merupakan prasyarat untuk menjadi seorang pemenang dalam medan kompetisi seperti saat ini dan yang akan datang. Dapat dipahami bahwa manusia yang berkarakter adalah manusia yang dalam setiap pikiran dan tindakannya akan memberikan manfaat dan nilai tambah pada lingkungannya. Sebaliknya, pikiran dan tindakan manusia yang berkarakter buruk akan banyak membawa kerusakan di muka bumi.
Aspek pendidikan adalah aspek terpenting dalam membentuk karakter bangsa. Dengan mengukur kualitas pendidikan, maka kita dapat melihat potret bangsa yang sebenarnya, karena aspek pendidikanlah yang menentukan masa depan seseorang, apakah dia dapat memberikan suatu yang membanggakan bagi bangsa dan dapat mengembalikan jati diri bangsa atau sebaliknya.



Pendidikan karakter merupakan bagian penting dari pengembangan kepribadian. Nilai karakter disiplin mendorong tumbuhnya nilai-nilai karakter baik lainnya, seperti rasa tanggung jawab, kejujuran, kerjasama, dll. (Curvin, R. L., & Mindler, 1999) meyakini bahwa disiplin memiliki tiga aspek, yaitu (1) disiplin untuk mencegah masalah; (2) disiplin menyelesaikan masalah, agar masalah tidak bertambah parah; (3) disiplin mengatasi siswa yang tidak terkendali. Diperoleh berdasarkan berbagai penjelasan dari pertanyaan di atas, penulis tertarik untuk meneliti dan mengkaji upaya guru dalam menjalin kerjasama dengan orang tua siswa di SMAN 1 Lembah Gumanti sekolah untuk membentuk karakter kedisiplinan siswa.
Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa dalam melaksanakan pendidikan karakter disiplin di SMKN 1 Merdeka dilakukan melalui sembilan kebijakan, yaitu (1) membuat program pendidikan karakter; (2) menetapkan aturan sekolah dan aturan kelas; (3) melakukan sholat dan berdoa sesuai Kepercayaan yang di anut; (4) membuat pos afektif di setiap kelas; (5) memantau perilaku kedisiplinan siswa di rumah melalui buku catatan kegiatan harian; (6) memberikan pesan-pesan afektif di berbagai sudut sekolah; (7) melibatkan orang tua; (8) melibatkan BK/BP sekolah; dan (9) menciptakan iklim kelas yang kondusif.






Hasil dan Pembahasan
1. Upaya Guru
a. Mengadakan pertemuan antara orang tua dan guru
Pertemuan ini diadakan sebagai bentuk komunikasi antara orang tua dan pendidik sekolah untuk membahas perkembangan anak di sekolah dan menyusun rencana guru di sekolah.
b. Mensosialisasikan pendidikan karakter
Sosialisasi ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan pendidikan kepribadian yang dirancang oleh guru, seperti keinginan bersama untuk mengadakan pertemuan dan rencana untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan.
c. Libatkan orang tua dalam program pendidikan karakter
Kontribusi orang tua dalam membentuk karakter siswa bisa dilakukan dengan mengawasi anak belajar di rumah dengan meningkatkan jam belajar, mematikan TV disaat belajar, mengawasi anak di dalam bermain dan bergaul. Selain itu juga mengontrol kegiatan dan perkembangan siswa di rumah.�
